    Project Support

Corradeo Consulting offers several services that can help your team plan and implement a wide variety of projects, programs, and other initiatives, especially those that cross organizational boundaries.

We specialize in helping manufacturing companies who are exploring the use of advanced automation and information technologies to improve operations.

Program Planning

The most successful programs are those that have been planned well from the beginning.  A well-designed program or initiative will be closely tied to the business objectives of the company, will consider the needs of all of the stakeholders who have in interest in the outcome, and will objectively assess the risks that may hinder successful execution of the project or program.  Too often, important initiatives such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) initiatives fail because they are launched without adequate attention to these fundamentals.

The consultants at Corradeo Consulting have been helping manufacturing customers develop strategies and road maps for using advanced information and automation technologies to improve operations for over 25 years.  Corradeo Consulting can also help with planning initiatives that must be implemented in advance of using technology effectively, such as quality management programs, lean manufacturing initiatives, or other operational readiness programs.

Project Justification

For over 30 years, widespread use of information technology for manufacturing has been hampered by the difficulty of justifying the investments using traditional cost justification models.  Often the improvements that derive from the use of new technology come from improvements in quality or customer satisfaction that are more difficult to quantify or that are not accepted by the decision makers.  Consequently, many financially sound projects do not get approved.

Corradeo Consulting has developed a holistic approach to developing the economic justification for projects and programs that can help you make the business case for these important initiatives.   We work with your team to identify all the potential sources of benefits, to quantify those benefits, and to secure the agreement of the decision makers to commit to those benefits.

Cross-Functional Team Facilitation

Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management, Sustainability, Safety Management, Customer Focus -- you may be pursuing one or more of these transformation initiatives -- perhaps even at the same time.  While the subject matter varies, they share one thing in common.  Each of them requires the participation of people from different parts of the organization, who often have very different opinions about the best path forward.  A few large companies have experienced, in-house facilitators who can guide the teams through the process.  But most companies do not.  Yet, an experienced facilitator is essential for drawing out the best ideas from your cross-functional team and helping them find common ground.

Corradeo Consulting can provide experienced facilitators for individual meetings or for an entire initiative.  We will work with you and your team leader to develop meeting objectives, agendas, and exercises that will lead the team through a structured and constructive dialog and help move them to a successful conclusion.

Business Process Documentation

Transformation initiatives that are designed to achieve certification, such as ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems or Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) certification, require detailed documentation of business processes and procedures.  Some regulatory frameworks also require detailed documentation, such as the NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.  While large organizations often have the knowledge and resources they need to map the processes and write the procedures, smaller companies do not.

Whether you need assistance with documenting a single procedure or an entire program, Corradeo Consulting can help you complete the process mapping and documentation. Our consultants are experienced with a variety of techniques that can help your team analyze the gaps between your current state and your desired state, and map out processes that will work for your organization.

Proposal and Project Management

On occasion, small companies are faced with opportunities that are much larger than they have dealt with in the past.  Just meeting the detailed requirements of the proposal request may stretch the capabilities of the in-house team to the breaking point.  And, if they are successful with the proposal, they are faced with the even greater challenge of delivering a large and complex project.  But for companies that want to grow, walking away from these opportunities is not the answer.

Corradeo Consulting is experienced with managing large, complex proposal efforts that involve multiple parties.  We can help you successfully manage and produce a high-quality proposal on time and on budget.  We can also help you execute these first-of-a-kind projects.  In addition to our own resources, Corradeo Consulting can draw on the capabilities of a number of independent consultants to provide you with the right team for your proposal or project.

Contact us to us for a free phone consultation about your proposal or project.  If we can't help you, we will refer you to someone who can.
